Steinmeier calls for safety for queer people at pride parades
Federal President Steinmeier made a strong commitment to the safety and self-determination of queer people on the occasion of pride parades.

On the occasion of the Christopher Street Day (CSD) parades this weekend, Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier called for greater safety and solidarity for queer people. This appeal comes in the wake of a recent terrorist act that overshadowed the celebrations in Berlin.
Steinmeier emphasized the need to advocate for the self-determination of the queer community. He spoke in a context that included several similar parades in different cities and urged society to join together in support of the safety and rights of queer individuals.
