On Friday, August 7, a summit will bring together the leaders of Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan in Jeddah. This event takes place against a backdrop of heightened tensions in the Middle East. According to RFI, Israel recently announced the deaths of two reservists during clashes with Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.

At the same time, in Yemen, the death toll from a Houthi rebel attack on government forces has reached 58, as reported by Le Figaro. These events occur amid ongoing diplomatic discussions between the countries involved.

Although the agenda for the meeting has not been specified, Le Figaro emphasizes that it is taking place as Iran announced an agreement with the Sultanate of Oman on a new route for the transit of vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.
