Survivor Accounts from the Earthquake in Colombia

Eduardo Silva, a Peruvian, described how he experienced the earthquake from the 17th floor of a building in Medellín. In his account, he mentioned that many buildings had collapsed, and as alarms sounded, he saw dozens of neighbors remaining outside their homes while he sought a safe area by descending the emergency stairs.

Leonel Cerrudo, an Argentine who was in Cali, also shared his experience via communication with LN+. Cerrudo expressed feeling shocked, and so far, it has been confirmed that the earthquake has left 111 dead. Both testimonies reflect the anguish felt during the seismic event.
