Switzerland and Austria Nominate Films for the 2027 Oscar Race
Switzerland and Austria have nominated their films for the 2027 Oscars.
Switzerland has submitted the documentary "Qui vit encore" in the race for the best international feature film Oscar in 2027. This was announced by the responsible jury.
Austria nominated the black-and-white drama "Rose" by Markus Schleinzer on Friday. The emancipatory historical film received particular praise at the Berlinale, where lead actress Sandra Hüller was awarded a Silver Bear.
"Rose" was selected as a candidate for best international feature film, beating out the film "Gentle Monster" by Marie, which was also in contention.
