After the sprint stage to Manosque in the Vuelta, Tadej Pogacar took the time for a gesture towards Wout van Aert's son. Georges received a pair of race glasses from the Slovenian rider, which will serve as a lasting memory for the boy. Wout van Aert himself was proud of the interaction between his son and Pogacar.

Pogacar attacked during the stage alongside Van Aert but refused to take the lead in the finale. This led to some frustration for Pogacar, who usually often takes charge in such situations. Nevertheless, the stage ultimately played out in favor of Van Aert's teammate Matthew Brennan, who won the stage.

The event not only created a unique memory for Georges but also fostered a playful atmosphere among the riders after the race. Wout van Aert responded enthusiastically, highlighting his pride in the boys for their good performances in the stage.
