Yesterday, the Russian internet, known as RUnet, experienced a significant outage that affected many popular online services and banking applications. According to CNews, the technical difficulties were due to issues in the network infrastructure of Ростелеком.
According to iXBT.com, the problems lasted about 29 minutes, during which traffic was redirected to emergency equipment to quickly restore connectivity. Afterwards, the network of Ростелеком returned to normal operation.
