Tiger relocated in Sumatra: Authorities respond to conflicts with humans
A young tigress caused a stir in a village in Sumatra as she roamed through residential areas and preyed on animals. Authorities have now taken action.

In Sumatra, a young tigress has caused confusion among residents of a village. According to reports, the rare animal repeatedly wandered through residential areas and is said to have preyed on goats and dogs.
In response to the incidents, local authorities set a trap, into which the tigress eventually walked. This was confirmed by the conservation agency BKSDA in West Sumatra, according to a statement from the newspaper "Kompas."
The issue surrounding the tigress is linked to the shrinking habitat of Sumatran tigers, which are increasingly coming into conflict with human settlements. Authorities have therefore taken measures to ensure the animal's safety.
