Traffic surge expected on highways for Ferragosto in Veneto and the Upper Adriatic
The Ferragosto weekend marks an increase in traffic on highways and major roads.

Between 565,000 and 585,000 vehicles are expected on Veneto's highways, according to ANSA, representing a decrease compared to previous weekends. This situation is part of the traffic forecast for Ferragosto, which indicates a red alert for outbound travel.
In the Upper Adriatic, around 180,000 vehicles are expected to pass through tomorrow. Forecasts indicate intensified traffic on key tourist routes, particularly along major arteries in the central-southern regions and motorway connections to border crossings. Anas has announced an increase in personnel and a reduction in roadworks to manage the rising traffic flows.
