Rail companies in Spain have suspended train service between Madrid and Andalusia and canceled numerous routes. This represents a massive disruption to rail traffic that will have repercussions in the coming days.

Local firefighters and rescue teams are working to search for possible survivors. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the causes of the accident, examining both technical systems and protocols at the operations center.

The collision poses a serious challenge to Spanish transport infrastructure, which has seen significant modernization in recent years. The disaster has caused widespread mourning among the public and has once again brought safety measures in rail travel into focus.
