On Thursday, the Regional Electoral Court of the Federal District (TRE-DF) established a 4-0 vote to deny the registration of José Roberto Arruda's (PSD) candidacy for governor. This result represents a clear majority against the former governor's candidacy.

The hearing, which was not concluded by late afternoon, featured a unanimous vote from the members present. Despite the rejection, José Roberto Arruda indicated his intention to contest this decision.

Arruda can appeal to the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) in an attempt to overturn the TRE-DF's ruling. In statements, he mentioned that he had already taken steps in this direction even before the analysis of his candidacy began.

The TRE-DF's rejection comes at a time when Arruda had already shown his intention to run for governor of the Federal District, having previously held the position. The court's decision is one of the steps in the ongoing electoral process.

Arruda's situation is being closely monitored, as the rejection of his candidacy registration can have significant implications for his political career. However, as of the conclusion of the hearing, there was no information on a final outcome in the TRE-DF process.

The case is also of interest to both his supporters and opponents, who are awaiting the definition of the next steps. The decisions from the TRE-DF and possible appeals to the TSE will be crucial in understanding Arruda's future in the current electoral race.
