Prosecutor challenges candidacies of José Arruda and Gustavo Rocha in the DF
The Federal Public Ministry and the Regional Electoral Prosecutor's Office of the DF requested the disqualification of Arruda and Rocha from the government and vice-government elections, respectively.

The Federal Public Ministry of the Federal District has filed a request to disqualify the candidacy of José Roberto Arruda (PSD) for the governorship of the Federal District. This request will be reviewed by the Electoral Court, which is expected to issue a ruling on the matter.
Prosecutors claim that Arruda remains ineligible due to issues related to administrative misconduct. Since the beginning of August, after his candidacy was officially announced by the PSD, the former governor has continued his campaign in the capital.
The Regional Electoral Prosecutor's Office of the Federal District (PRE-DF) has also requested that the Regional Electoral Court of the DF reject Arruda's candidacy registration, reiterating that he is ineligible and therefore cannot run for the position.

Additionally, the Electoral Public Ministry has challenged the candidacy of Gustavo do Vale Rocha (Republicanos) for the vice-governorship of the Federal District. This challenge was formalized last Friday and will also be assessed by the Regional Electoral Court of the DF.
Candidacy challenges are legal procedures aimed at contesting the eligibility of candidates in elections. The outcomes of the Court's reviews will determine whether the candidacies can proceed or not.
Both situations highlight concerns within the electoral process in the Federal District and the adherence to the rules governing the eligibility of candidates.
