Tropical Storm Moke Approaches Hawaii Bringing Heavy Rain and Winds
Hawaii is preparing for Tropical Storm Moke, expected to bring severe weather just after Hurricane Lala.

Tropical Storm Moke has formed in the Pacific Ocean and is currently heading towards Hawaii, according to the National Hurricane Center. The storm is intensifying, with forecasters predicting it will bring heavy rainfall and strong winds to the region.
The weather service has issued warnings for flooding and mudslides, particularly in areas that were already impacted by Hurricane Lala, which caused widespread destruction just days earlier. The Big Island, also known as Hawaii Island, is expected to face the worst effects of Moke.
As Moke approaches, it is projected to pass south of the Hawaiian islands, but its effects will still be felt, especially on the Big Island. The expected timeframe for the onset of severe weather is Saturday evening into Sunday.

Residents are being advised to prepare for potential flooding, as the storm's rains could exacerbate conditions already affected by the previous storm. Emergency services are on alert as preparations are made across the islands.
This will be the second consecutive week that Hawaii faces the threat of severe weather, showcasing the region's vulnerability to storms during this time of year.
