The governments of the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia have issued a joint statement condemning Israel's decision not to pursue a criminal investigation into the April 2024 airstrikes that targeted a convoy of aid vehicles in Gaza. According to reports, the strikes resulted in the deaths of seven humanitarian workers associated with the World Central Kitchen (WCK) organization.

The airstrike, executed by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), killed personnel from various nationalities, including Australian Zomi Frankcom, three British citizens, a dual US-Canadian national, a Polish citizen, and a Palestinian.

These countries described the Israeli response as "shameful" and expressed concern regarding the implications of not holding accountable those responsible for the attack on the aid convoy.

Reports indicate that the IDF did not provide a detailed explanation for their decision not to investigate the incident, leaving the affected nations seeking further clarification.

The lack of accountability has raised questions about the safety of humanitarian work in conflict zones, highlighting ongoing tensions surrounding military actions in Gaza.
