UN finds that US committed war crimes during conflicts in Iran

A UN report uncovered evidence that the United States committed war crimes in attacks on a school and a sports facility in Iran.

A UN investigative mission stated it found reasonable grounds to believe that the United States committed war crimes during the conflict in Iran. According to the report, two attacks carried out in February struck a school in the city of Minab and a sports facility, causing severe damage.

Human rights experts appointed by the UN indicated that the evidence collected points to US responsibility for these attacks. Investigators claim that the actions violated international humanitarian law, constituting war crimes.

The report also accused Iranian authorities of perpetrating crimes against humanity during the violent repression of anti-government protests. This finding highlights a serious violation of human rights in the context of the demonstrations.

The UN emphasized the need for accountability for these actions and expressed concerns over the rising violence in the region. UN leaders are calling for a de-escalation of tensions in the Middle East.

Samples of testimony and data collected during the investigation suggest a form of indiscriminate attack that affected civilians, particularly in residential areas. The nations involved have been urged to cooperate with the investigative mission and respond appropriately to the allegations.

The UN report will be presented at an upcoming session of the Human Rights Council, where member countries are expected to debate the findings and consider the implications for regional security. The mission continues to investigate the facts related to the two attacks and the conduct of the Iranian authorities.
