United Russia Congress: Putin Addresses Ukraine War and National Challenges
With a month to go before the parliamentary elections, Vladimir Putin delivered a speech at the United Russia Congress addressing the current situation in the Ukraine war and internal issues.

On August 22, Vladimir Putin spoke at the congress of his party, United Russia, as the country prepares for the parliamentary elections scheduled for September.
In his speech, the Russian president acknowledged that Russia is going through a "difficult period," mentioning the challenges posed by the war in Ukraine and recent incidents involving Ukrainian drones.
Putin also linked the increase in Russian strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure to attacks taking place on Russian territory, suggesting that there are "much more destructive" attacks to come against Kiev.

He assured that the situation is under control, seeking to reassure the public in the face of current difficulties, while showing no signs of de-escalation regarding the war.
The tension at the border and the domestic situation in the country were also addressed, highlighting a crisis atmosphere as the elections approach.
Putin's statements reflect a determination to pursue Russia's military objectives despite increasing international pressure and internal challenges.
