The aircraft carrier USS George Washington is being deployed to the Middle East from the Pacific. This move comes to relieve the USS Abraham Lincoln, which is reporting mental health issues among its crew due to prolonged conditions at sea.

According to the United States Navy, the USS Abraham Lincoln has been at sea for over 240 days. During this time, the crew has faced significant challenges regarding their well-being and supply, leading to the necessity for relief.

The USS Lincoln was originally deployed on November 21 from San Diego and arrived in the region in January, just before the outbreak of the conflict with Iran that began on February 28.
