The Vaud Centre party has decided to no longer support Valérie Dittli in the upcoming government elections. This was confirmed by party president Giancarlo Sergi, following a decision against Dittli made in a vote in July.
The withdrawal of support occurs against a backdrop where Dittli is under pressure, and it leads the party to want to send a clearer signal. According to Sergi, the party aims to "definitely close this chapter."
This measure reflects a shift in internal opinions within the party and calls into question Dittli's position as a state councilor, as the candidate landscape for the elections in February increasingly narrows.
