The leader of Chega, André Ventura, announced that if Interior Minister Luís Neves does not resign by Tuesday, he will proceed with a motion of censure. Ventura stated that Neves 'is not in any condition to continue' and claimed the minister is 'dragging the institutions into the mud.'

Additionally, Ventura expressed his belief that the Secretary-General of the PS, António Seguro, would also support Neves' removal, indicating a possible consensus among different political forces regarding his exit.

On the other hand, the spokesperson for the PSD expressed disapproval of the idea that Ventura's threat to present a motion of censure could weaken the government. The spokesperson emphasized that this interpretation is unfounded, dismissing the notion that it constitutes an ultimatum to the Prime Minister.

The situation reveals significant political tensions, with Ventura insisting on his stance regarding the minister, while other parties seek to distance themselves from the repercussions of such actions.

The issue of political stability remains open, with the motion of censure being a tool for Ventura to consider if his demands are not met.
