The Socialist Party (PS) requested an urgent hearing on Monday with the Minister of Economy and Territorial Cohesion, Manuel Castro Almeida, regarding the current status of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR). This request follows Almeida's announcement of the PRR's 100% completion.

In its request, the PS expressed concerns regarding the discrepancy between the achievement of the plan's targets and the financial, material, and operational execution of the investments. The socialists emphasized the need for clarity on the actual situation of the PRR.

Adalberto Campos Fernandes, in statements, also addressed the recent decision by the Constitutional Court (TC) regarding the Return Law, where it rejected connotations of defeat for António Seguro.

The urgency of the hearing was communicated to the president of the Parliamentary Economy and Territorial Cohesion Committee, who will be responsible for convening the minister to provide clarifications. The socialists hope to address details that illustrate the implementation of the recovery plan.

The issue of the PRR's execution has been a relevant topic on the political agenda, especially following government promises of the plan's completion, which aimed at the recovery and modernization of the country's economy.

The PS deems it essential to obtain concrete information about what has been accomplished so far and what measures are still underway, reinforcing the need for transparency in the process.
