Vincent Marissal enters Taschereau race with the PQ
Former Québec Solidaire MNA Vincent Marissal will attempt to be re-elected in Taschereau for the Parti québécois.

Vincent Marissal, formerly a member of Québec Solidaire, has decided to run for the Parti québécois (PQ) in the Taschereau riding. According to Le Devoir, he is stepping down from his current position as the representative for Rosemont to contest this new constituency.
La Presse reports that Marissal's entry into the PQ has surprised some party activists. While reservations have been voiced regarding his late arrival into the party, many may ultimately accept this decision, viewed as logical by some.
Marissal's candidacy marks a significant step in his political career. He was a columnist at La Presse before becoming an independent and chose to join the PQ to regain a seat in the legislature. Radio-Canada notes that his journey is garnering particular interest in the current political context.
