VK sues Apple over removal of apps from the App Store
VK has filed a lawsuit against Apple in the Moscow Arbitration Court after its applications were removed from the App Store.

Russian company VK filed a lawsuit against American firm Apple on August 19. The case, registered under number A40-250513/2026, was submitted to the Moscow Arbitration Court. The lawsuit is directed not only against Apple Inc. and Apple Distribution International Ltd., but also against Apple’s Russian subsidiary, ООО «Эппл рус».
The lawsuit concerns the removal of several VK applications, including VK, VK Music, and «Одноклассники» (Odnoklassniki) from the App Store. According to reports from Meduza and other sources, VK has demanded that its services be restored to the App Store.

In addition, VK is seeking compensation from Apple of 58 million rubles per day for each day the applications are unavailable in the App Store. This claim will only take effect if the Moscow Court later rules in favor of VK and orders the return of the applications.
The legal disputes between VK and Apple raise questions about App Store policies and the practices of international companies in the Russian market. The proceedings are still pending as legal steps are carried out in Moscow.
