Weather Forecast for the First Round of the 2026 Elections
On Sunday (4), election day, the weather is expected to be unstable in several regions of Brazil, with forecasts of rain and storms in various capitals.

The first round of the 2026 elections, scheduled for this Sunday (4), is expected to take place under unstable weather conditions in various parts of Brazil. According to the forecasts, there is an expectation of moderate to heavy rain, particularly in the South, Central-West, and Southeast regions, during the voting period from 8 AM to 5 PM, Brasília time.
In Mato Grosso do Sul, the weather is expected to be marked by showers and possibly storms. The forecast indicates that Campo Grande could see up to 35 millimeters of rain. The instability in the state is attributed to a low-pressure area and the formation of an extratropical cyclone, which is expected to intensify adverse weather conditions throughout the day.
In Rio Grande do Sul, voters may face storms and strong winds starting Saturday (3), with continued rain overnight and into the morning of election day. However, there are indications that the weather may gradually improve throughout the day, according to meteorological forecasts.

In São Paulo, the city of Campinas will have periods of sunshine in the morning, but the weather instability is expected to increase throughout the day. The forecast from the Center for Meteorological and Climatic Research Applied to Agriculture (Cepagri) includes the possibility of strong winds and storms in the afternoon.
In the city of Natal, weather conditions also indicate a cloudy weekend with expectations of intermittent rain. For this Sunday, temperatures are expected to range between 24°C and 29°C, with a significant probability of rain.
In addition to the rain forecast, voters should be aware of the rules regarding alcohol restrictions that will be in place in various states during the first round of the elections, with nine states enforcing a total dry law and five others with partial restrictions.
