On Sunday morning (16), a funnel cloud was observed at Atalaia Beach in the southern area of Aracaju. The atmospheric phenomenon generated curiosity among those present at the location. Meteorologist Wanda Tathyana de Castro from the State Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Actions (Semac) described the cloud as a column of air that rotates.

Meanwhile, in Divinópolis, located in the Central-West of Minas Gerais, a fire at a recycling materials depot caught the attention of residents due to the intense black smoke that spread across the sky. The incident occurred on the same afternoon on Governador Magalhães Pinto Avenue in the São Geraldo neighborhood.

According to the Fire Department, they received the call to combat the flames around 3:19 PM. The firefighters acted quickly to control the fire, and fortunately, there were no casualties among nearby citizens.

Videos of the fire and smoke were widely shared on social media, generating concern but also significant interest in the situation. Many people gathered to observe the phenomenon while firefighters worked at the scene.

Both events, the funnel cloud in Aracaju and the column of smoke in Divinópolis, stood out on Sunday afternoon, leading the local community to discuss meteorological phenomena and emergencies.
