Werner Herzog to Receive Donostia Award at San Sebastián Festival
German director Werner Herzog will be honored with the Donostia Award at the 74th edition of the festival, taking place from September 18 to 26, where his new film will also be presented.
The San Sebastián International Film Festival, known as Zinemaldia, will honor German director Werner Herzog with the Donostia Award during its 74th edition. This festival will take place from September 18 to 26, 2023.
The award will be presented at the festival's opening gala. Herzog, whose career spans over six decades, is known for his distinctive style and impact on contemporary cinema with radical works.
In addition to the award, his latest film, titled 'Bucking Fastard', will be screened, having previously competed at the Venice Film Festival. This presentation will mark the film's debut in Spain.
