Yandex Go tests age verification for e-scooter rentals in Moscow

The rental service Yandex Go has begun implementing age verification through the state service Gosuslugi in the Moscow region. In accordance with new requirements from the Ministry of Transport for the region, all providers of micromobility services, including e-scooters and e-bikes, must ensure mandatory authentication of their users via a confirmed Gosuslugi action by September 30, 2026.

This legal regulation was part of measures aimed at ensuring safety in the use of electric vehicles in public spaces. The move is designed to prevent access to e-scooters for users below the legal minimum age.
