Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has accused the United States of delaying the delivery of missiles already paid for by Europe, stating that this hampers the strengthening of his country's defenses. Zelensky also condemned the halt in the supply of intelligence needed to detect incoming Russian missiles, which is crucial for Ukraine's security.

In a recent meeting in Oslo, Zelensky spoke with U.S. envoy Witkoff, who may travel to Russia in the coming days. During his phone call with U.S. President Joe Biden, Zelensky sought to strengthen ties with Washington, highlighting the importance of continued collaboration for peace in Ukraine.

Meanwhile, the Kremlin spokesperson announced that Vladimir Putin has proposed a trilateral meeting with Donald Trump and Xi Jinping to discuss the situation in Ukraine. This summit is scheduled for November, potentially signaling a rapprochement between Putin and Trump.

Zelensky, in fact, expressed concern regarding a possible opening from Trump towards negotiations with Russia, suggesting that these could include territorial concessions in the Donbass. Despite this, Trump reportedly attempted to persuade Zelensky to accept a peace agreement, promising economic benefits to Ukraine.

In another development, at least six people were killed in a recent Russian raid in Kharkiv, including three children, while Zelensky has requested assistance to evacuate the city of Oleshky. Russian attacks continue to target civilian areas, raising growing concerns about the security of the Ukrainian population.

Amid these tensions, U.S. Senator Marco Rubio also reached out to Zelensky, assuring him that there would be no directives from Trump aimed at harming Ukraine's interests. The situation continues to evolve, with Zelensky and other leaders trying to navigate difficult alliances and geopolitical pressures.
