Zelensky proposes meeting with Putin at G20 in Miami, Kremlin refuses

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated his willingness to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin during the upcoming G20 summit scheduled for December in Miami. In an interview with Deutsche Welle, Zelensky emphasized that his presence is contingent on Putin attending the summit, highlighting the necessity of dialogue to make important decisions.

For its part, the Kremlin immediately ruled out the possibility of a meeting, stating that Putin's attendance at the Miami summit has not even been discussed. A spokesperson for the Russian government reiterated that if Zelensky wishes to negotiate, he is invited to come to Moscow.

Zelensky also commented on recent diplomatic contacts between Washington and Kyiv, describing these developments as positive signs for negotiations. He expressed optimism regarding Ukraine's position, stating that the country is in a favorable situation to negotiate with Moscow.

Alongside these statements, the conflict in Ukraine has seen an intensification of attacks. Various sources indicate that Russian raids continue to target different regions of Ukraine, causing casualties among the civilian population. The Ukrainian Foreign Minister reported bombings in Kramatorsk and Kryvyj Rih, highlighting a situation of escalating emergency.
