Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called on the United States to sell between 5% and 10% of its Patriot missile reserves. According to Zelensky, this request comes in the context of a decrease in the number of ballistic missile interceptors available in the country, which has significantly reduced this year.

Zelensky indicated that Ukraine has two and a half times fewer interceptors than expected for 2025, putting the country in a vulnerable position against Russian attacks. He highlighted that Russia currently has double the number of ballistic missiles compared to Ukraine.

The appeal underscores Ukraine's urgency to strengthen its defense capabilities amid the worsening conflict with Russia and the impending arrival of winter.
