26 countries, including France, condemn executions in Iran
The UN and several countries, including France, have condemned the executions in Iran targeting protesters.
France, Canada, the United Kingdom, and about 30 other countries have expressed their condemnation of the executions of protesters in Iran. This reaction follows an escalation in executions, which have included at least 56 people put to death since the beginning of the year, according to reports from international organizations.
The UN stated last Wednesday that it is "alarmed" by this increase in executions, highlighting a growing concern regarding the human rights situation in Iran. The Iranian regime attributes the violence and deaths, which include more than 3,000 victims, to "terrorist acts" supported by countries like the United States and Israel.
These executions target individuals who participated in protests against the regime, which have intensified in response to social unrest. Critics argue that these actions strengthen repression against dissenters in Iran.
