A major fire broke out at a farm in Ried, Bavaria, during the night. According to reports from Der Tagesspiegel and the Münchner Merkur, both the pig barn and a storage facility were completely destroyed.
Firefighters battled the flames for several hours while farmers brought water with tractors. However, help came too late for the over 1,000 pigs, as not a single animal survived the blaze.
