A woman was stung by a venomous scorpion at Düsseldorf Airport, which had been hiding in her jacket. This was reported by the Düsseldorf fire department on Saturday. The traveler apparently brought the creature back unnoticed from her vacation.

The incident occurred after her return from the Greek island of Kos. Following the sting, the woman experienced severe pain and was promptly taken to the hospital for medical treatment.

The fire department quickly responded to the airport to capture the creature. A reptile expert attended to the captured animal, which was safely taken to a reptile zoo, according to the fire department.

No further information about the woman's health condition has been released, but the incident has caused a stir at the airport, as it is a rare occurrence.
