Alert over Chinese plant near Ferrol naval base
The Government and the CNI express concerns about the espionage risk from the new electric vehicle plant in Galicia.

The Spanish government has conveyed its concerns to the Xunta de Galicia about the potential national security risks associated with the installation of a plant from the largest Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, located near the naval base of Ferrol.
The Ministry of Defense and the National Intelligence Center (CNI) have raised alarms due to fears that this plant might compromise the security of the military arsenal and operations at the Navantia shipyard, which works with advanced combat systems from the United States.
Despite the government's warnings, the Xunta de Galicia has decided to prioritize the plant project, highlighting a contrast between national security issues and interest in economic investment.
