Antwerp supporters welcomed at Sclessin: mayor reverses earlier decision
Antwerp fans are welcome tonight in the away section at Sclessin after the mayor of Liège reversed his previous ban.

Tonight, Antwerp supporters will be welcomed in the away section at Sclessin for the match against Standard. This decision comes after a reversal of an earlier ban by Liège Mayor Willy Demeyer (PS), who had previously indicated that the supporters would not be allowed.
According to various reports, including that from supporters group Antwerp Dynamite, the mayor reconsidered his decision following discussions with various parties, including the ultras from both Antwerp and Standard. This discussion led to a new risk assessment, prompting the mayor to allow the fans.
Confirmation of this change was also provided by the mayor's office. As a result, supporters who had already prepared for the journey to Liège can now actually travel to the match.

Several sources, including HLN and VRT NWS, report that the supporters group is satisfied with this development. Antwerp Dynamite stated that their supporters legion will indeed take their place in the away section tonight.
Yesterday, Antwerp voiced strong criticism for not allowing any fans at the match against Standard. However, the situation evolved quickly, leading to the current decision.
The changes in the policy regarding the admission of away fans are a response to intensive discussions, particularly with local authorities.
