The Azores archipelago is under a yellow warning due to forecasts of heavy rain, with a possibility of thunderstorms, starting late Sunday and lasting until Monday. This information has been reported by several sources, including Observador.

Simultaneously, seven districts on the mainland have also been placed under a yellow warning due to anticipated thunderstorms. The affected districts include Beja, Bragança, Castelo Branco, Évora, Faro, Guarda, and Portalegre.

According to data from the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA), the forecast also indicates wind gusts between 70 and 90 kilometers per hour in these regions.

The yellow warning serves as an alert to citizens about adverse weather conditions that may impact outdoor activities and road circulation.

Both situations, in the Azores and in the mainland districts, require heightened attention from the population, especially to avoid risk situations associated with heavy rain and thunderstorms.

This warning will remain in effect until further updates on the weather conditions and possible changes in the intensity of rainfall and winds over the coming days.
