The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) today issued a warning for the possibility of heavy rain and thunderstorms in several regions of mainland Portugal. As a result, 14 districts have been placed under a yellow warning due to the risk of showers, some of which may be intense.
The affected districts are under close observation, with meteorological conditions expected to resemble autumn rather than summer, according to weather authorities.
