In the Swiss Alps, the bodies of two Belgian hikers have been recovered after 34 years of being missing. The hikers disappeared in September 1992 during a mountain hike. The remains were found on the Trift Glacier near Saas-Grund.

Identification papers were found with the bodies confirming that they belong to the two missing residents of Kempen. This news was confirmed by local reports, including those from Het Laatste Nieuws and VRT NWS.

The discovery of the bodies may finally provide clarity about the fate of the hikers, who had been reported missing since their disappearance.
