Bus accident in Bahia leaves several casualties
A bus accident on BR-122 in Bahia resulted in at least seven deaths and thirteen injuries on Friday night.

On Friday night (25), a bus overturned on BR-122, near the municipality of Iraquara in Chapada Diamantina, resulting in at least seven deaths and injuring another thirteen, according to reports.
The accident occurred around 11:30 PM while the vehicle, owned by the company Rio Real, was traveling from Fortaleza (CE) to Palmas (TO). In total, the bus was carrying 22 passengers and two drivers, who were uninjured.
Seven victims were found dead at the scene, while an eighth person died after receiving medical treatment at a hospital, according to information from various sources.

The injured were assisted at the scene and were then taken to health facilities in the region, including the Regional Hospital of Seabra. Among this group, twelve were reported to have serious injuries.
The condition of the victims and the identification of the bodies were handled by the Medical-Legal Institutes (IMLs) of Seabra and Irecê. Some victims were in serious condition, while others were assessed as not critically injured.
The accident raised concerns about road transport safety in the region, with authorities taking necessary measures to investigate the circumstances that led to the overturning.
