A bus accident occurring early Sunday morning on a highway in Hungary resulted in the death of twelve people, according to information from Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar, shared on social media.
In addition to the twelve fatalities, at least ten people were seriously injured in the incident. Circumstances surrounding the accident suggest that the driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel, according to some sources.
Hungarian authorities are investigating the causes of the accident, while rescue teams provided assistance to the injured.
