Cabinet approves budgetary planning document and new road code
Today, the Cabinet approved the budgetary planning document and the new road code, excluding any immediate tax measures.

The Cabinet met this afternoon at Palazzo Chigi and approved the Budgetary Planning Document (DPB), which must be sent to Brussels by October 15.
During the meeting, no tax measures were presented. A test in Parliament is anticipated for November, according to reports.
In addition to the DPB, the Cabinet approved the new Road Code, which introduces several changes regarding penalties and vehicle circulation requirements.

The Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport has stated that fines will now be lower but fair, and the age limit for driving trucks and buses has been raised to 70 years.
Among other changes to the Code, there are restrictions for those driving without insurance, and the penalties for vehicles used to transport schoolchildren have become stricter.
The Cabinet also signed definitive agreements with the Regions regarding differentiated autonomy, as reported by Minister Calderoli.
