Campaign tensions between Lula and Flávio Bolsonaro escalate
During the presidential campaign, Lula criticizes the Federal Supreme Court while Flávio Bolsonaro seeks support among regional leaders. Controversial issues and strategies shape the elections.

In the electoral race, President Lula (PT) stated that he faces the fallout from the Federal Supreme Court's (STF) image crisis, labeling Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) as "the face of the system." This statement was made on Monday (5), at a time when the STF's reputation has become a sensitive topic in Brazilian politics.
Additionally, as reported by UOL, Lula's campaign is changing its tone, adopting a "fear strategy" in relation to its opponent. This approach can be seen as an attempt to distance itself from and criticize the actions of Flávio Bolsonaro during the campaign.
On the other hand, Flávio Bolsonaro's campaign is considering a visit to the National Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora Aparecida, scheduled for the holiday on October 12. The event is being evaluated in light of the controversy surrounding the figure of Brazil's patroness during the recent campaign, according to reports from Folha de S.Paulo.

Meanwhile, Lula is seeking support from regional leaders of centrist parties, such as PSD and the Republicans, in the final stretch of his campaign. The president of the PT, Edinho Silva, announced that he had spoken with these leaders in search of backing for the second round of the elections, according to sources from Folha de S.Paulo.
Furthermore, there are reports that parties leading ministries in Lula's government, such as União Brasil and the Progressistas Party (PP), have expressed support for candidate Flávio Bolsonaro. This endorsement was announced last Tuesday and could impact the electoral landscape, according to information from RTP.
With support from the PL and the STF's role in play, the election seems to be unfolding in a climate of strong polarization, with both sides adopting strategies to improve their positions ahead of the second round.
