Chief of Staff of Government Delegation in Ceuta resigns amid CNI controversy
Gonzalo Sanz resigns and accuses the delegate, Miguel Ángel Pérez, of not being properly informed about a CNI warning.

Gonzalo Sanz has resigned as Chief of Staff of the Government Delegation in Ceuta amid controversy regarding a warning from the National Intelligence Centre (CNI). According to Sanz, he sent information to the delegate, Miguel Ángel Pérez, about the threat posed by the entry of irregular migrants into the city via social media.
Delegate Pérez has denied receiving such information from Sanz, insisting that he was not warned about the CNI communications. This disagreement has raised tensions within the local administration amid a migration crisis in Ceuta.
Sanz claims that reports from various agencies prove that a warning and alert were issued to the different ministries. He asserts that he did communicate the warning to the delegate, which contrasts with Pérez's account.

The Government Delegation in Ceuta has reiterated that it was unaware of the CNI messages, arguing that these only alerted about movements on social media, without assessing the scale of potential mobilization of people.
The situation is exacerbated as this is the first resignation linked to the management of the crisis that occurred on July 30 and 31. Sanz's resignation raises questions about internal communication within the Government Delegation regarding security and migration in Ceuta.
This conflict highlights the complexity of managing the migration crisis in the autonomous city and underscores the need for clear and coordinated information management among the responsible authorities.
