The U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has alerted European governments about the possibility of drone attacks from Russia, potentially aimed at Spain, France, and Italy. This information was reported by the Spanish newspaper El Mundo, citing sources in U.S. intelligence who claim to have gathered data on the Kremlin's escalation plans, including the use of drones launched from the sea.

According to the CIA, these threats are part of a hybrid strategy by Russia, which also includes other operations in Europe. The government of Moldova reported that four drones reportedly invaded its airspace, highlighting Russia's increasing activity in the region.

Italy's Minister of Defense, Guido Crosetto, commented on the alert, stating that there are no confirmations for the information received and urged caution to avoid unnecessary escalation of tensions. He emphasized that there is no indication that the situation has reached operational levels or security alerts.

French President Emmanuel Macron also addressed the issue, denying that there has been a formal alert from the CIA regarding an imminent attack. However, he acknowledged that France could be a target of such actions and stressed the need for vigilance, while considering the information about a CIA alert to be refuted.

Additional reports indicate that Lithuania assessed that the attacks could be carried out from the Mediterranean, reinforcing the possibility that targets are being carefully selected by Russia. Despite the denials, concern over an escalation of violence in the region remains.

With rising tensions between Russia and Western countries, authorities are closely monitoring movements and strategies that could impact Europe's security. At the same time, governments such as those of Italy and France have reiterated the importance of not fueling panic and managing information responsibly.
