Public Works and Highways Secretary Vince Dizon stated that Parañaque is confronted with a full-blown 'garbage crisis'. He made this announcement following the sighting of considerable amounts of waste blocking the Redemptorist water channel in Baclaran.
According to reports, cleanup operations in Baclaran have removed at least 500 tons of trash within three days. Dizon highlighted the ongoing problems of garbage accumulation despite previous cleanup efforts, emphasizing the urgency of the situation.
