A family from the Netherlands was involved in a severe car accident on Thursday in the Austrian state of Carinthia. The family, consisting of four members, experienced technical issues while descending, causing the brakes to overheat.
The vehicle lost control and veered off the road. It then plummeted several meters down into a forest, coming to a stop upside down. The situation was dramatic and resulted in serious injuries for the occupants.
The mother of the family was airlifted by a trauma helicopter to a hospital for medical care. The other family members also suffered significant injuries in the incident.
