European Commission receives complaint against Tyrol and Carinthia
Nature conservation organizations have filed a complaint with the European Commission regarding the wolf shooting in Tyrol.

Following the controversial shooting of the collared wolf Mirco in Tyrol, several nature conservation organizations have filed an official complaint. The complaint targets the authorities of the federal states of Tyrol and Carinthia.
The Italian animal protection organization "Io non ho paura del lupo APS" based in Parma, in collaboration with the Austrian "Austrian Nature Conservation Alliance" (ANCA), formulated the complaint. The aim is to review the authorities' actions regarding the shooting of the wolf.
The organizations argue that such measures violate the wolf's protection status and the guidelines of the European Union. This issue also raises questions about the management of protected species living in the affected regions.
