Electoral law: Preliminary objections approved in the Chamber
The Chamber of Deputies has rejected constitutional objections, paving the way for the final vote on October 8.

The electoral law was discussed today in the Chamber following approval by the Constitutional Affairs Committee. Today's session included a general debate, while the final vote is scheduled for Thursday, October 8.
According to reports, the constitutional objections raised by the opposition have been rejected. The vote results were 229 against and 151 in favor, showing the majority's support.
In particular, the Fratelli d'Italia group expressed satisfaction with the passage of the measure. A party representative stated that this is an important moment and that, if the law fails, they would go home.

A secret ballot was held for the vote on the objections, attended by members of the government. It was emphasized that the opposition will continue to fight the reform, expressing strong criticism of both the system of preferences and other new provisions of the proposal.
The next stages of the discussion will specifically concern the final vote, expected in the middle of the week, as the opposition prepares to take further actions to contest the reform.
The majority has declared itself united and ready to continue with the voting. According to reports, today's vote represents only the first step in a process that could have further developments in the coming days.
