The Portuguese Evangelical Alliance has spoken out against the new movement Conservative Women, which has received attention in recent weeks. The alliance rejects the characterization of the movement as an evangelical movement, considering it an unfounded generalization that links evangelicalism to conservatism.

The pre-launch of the movement took place with the presence of several deputies from the Chega party, as well as the Bolsonaro-affiliated deputy Priscila Costa, sparking discussions about the identity and goals of the movement.

The Evangelical Alliance emphasized that the union of evangelical thought and conservatism does not reflect the diversity within evangelical communities in Portugal. This position was presented in response to the growing recognition of the conservative women's movement in the country.
