Ex Ilva: Termination letters initiated for 2,500 workers in the supply chain
Aigi announces the beginning of termination letters due to the closure of the hot area.

The Aigi association has announced the commencement of termination letters for approximately 2,500 supply chain workers at the Ex Ilva. This action has become necessary due to the closure of the hot area, a decision that has led to a critical situation for the affected companies.
According to Aigi, the lack of reasonable planning has contributed to this difficulty. The association stated that this situation has arisen due to a complete absence of preventive measures that could have ensured the safety of the businesses.

Aigi President Nicola Convertino described this situation as an extreme and painful act, highlighting the severe impact on employees and their families. Convertino emphasized that many of these workers have spent years at the company, making the terminations a total defeat.
The collective termination letters, affecting 28 companies, mark a challenging time for the sector, with many individuals now facing uncertainty regarding their professional future.
