Flávio Bolsonaro interviewed on Globo during protests
Flávio Bolsonaro's interview on TV Globo was accompanied by protests in several Brazilian cities.

Senator Flávio Bolsonaro, candidate for the presidency from the PL party, was interviewed on TV Globo on Friday, the 16th. The interview, conducted by journalist Renata Lo Prete, was part of the coverage for the second round of the 2026 Elections. The broadcast was live from the Globo Studios in Rio de Janeiro, right after the Jornal Nacional.
During the interview, Flávio Bolsonaro addressed various topics, including issues related to the minimum wage, health, and education. After the interview aired, it was made available in full on Globoplay and g1.
At the same time, the interview sparked protests in several cities, including São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Recife, and Salvador, where residents held pot-banging demonstrations. These acts were organized through social media, motivated by Federal Deputy André Janones, who collaborates on the digital strategy of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, the PT’s candidate for reelection.

According to data from Ibope, the audience for Flávio Bolsonaro's interview was 16% lower than that of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, who was interviewed by Globo the day before. Lula attracted nearly a million more viewers than the PL candidate.
After the interview concluded, São Paulo Governor Tarcísio de Freitas called Flávio Bolsonaro to commend his performance. The meeting between Flávio Bolsonaro and the Globo team took place without the presence of executives from the Journalism department.
The visit began with a reception by the president of Grupo Globo, João Roberto Marinho, and the vice president of Institutional Relations, Paulo Tonet, at Globo's headquarters in Rio de Janeiro, where Flávio Bolsonaro had an institutional visit.
