On Monday afternoon, numerous response teams were dispatched in the Krems district to tackle a forest fire. According to DER STANDARD, 150 firefighters are currently on site to extinguish the flames.
Approximately ten hectares are affected, according to Die Presse, but the fire is now under control. The exact cause of the outbreak remains unclear. The response teams are working intensively on fire suppression efforts on the ground.
